Meet Stu

Stu co-leads Strategic’s Operational Due Diligence (ODD) team. In this role, Stu reviews and analyzes the corporate governance, operational processes and accounting controls of investment managers and vehicles. He leads Strategic’s Operational Risk Management Program, conducting internal risk assessments and monitoring the corrective actions put in place by management to improve the firm’s operational infrastructure, and supports Strategic’s Vendor Management Program. He is also a member of Strategic’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, a cross-functional team that works to encourage and evaluate diversity within our sphere of influence (our firm, our managers, our vendors) and to foster an equitable and respectful work environment throughout the firm. Prior to joining Strategic, he was a Senior Internal Auditor for Capital Markets at Fannie Mae. He also worked as a Financial Analyst at Standard & Poor’s and as a Sr. Securities Analyst at Wells Fargo Bank. 

Stu holds an M.B.A. from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), and has a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). Stu has been awarded the CFA Institute Investment Foundations™ certificate. He is a member of the Georgetown McDonough Alumni Advisory Council (MAAC).
